Rino Mastrotto and Filanda: A Dialogue Between Art and Leather Culture with Berlinde De Bruyckere
Rino Mastrotto proudly announces its collaboration with Filanda and Galleria Continua for the exhibition project CAMERA, which will host the work Nijvel I by internationally renowned Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere in Trissino.
The exhibition, scheduled from November 29 to December 21, 2025, marks the debut of an innovative exhibition format conceived to restore centrality to the artistic experience through the contemplation of a single, significant artwork.
Leather as memory and material
At the core of the project lies leather, an element that represents the beating heart of Rino Mastrotto’s production identity and of the Valle dell’Agno territory. In Nijvel I, De Bruyckere explores this very material, transforming it into a layered volume that evokes stacks of tanned hides while simultaneously recalling the fragility of bodies.
For our Group, this collaboration represents an important opportunity to reflect on the boundary between material and memory, reaffirming the inseparable bond between artisanal excellence and the language of contemporary art.
Art and Business: a shared vision
By taking part in this initiative curated by RARE, Rino Mastrotto reaffirms its role as a global leader in the luxury supply chain, not only through responsible innovation and the quality of its craftsmanship, but also by supporting spaces for cultural exchange where industrial know-how meets artistic imagination.
The encounter between the work of Berlinde De Bruyckere and the setting of Filanda invites viewers to look beyond the surface of the product, exploring the ethics of production and the symbolic depth of an ancient and living material such as leather.
