KAILANI is born, the new Outdoor textile collection by JACQART

Where Sky Meets Ocean: “KAILANI” is Born, the New Outdoor Textile Collection Between Untamed Nature and Technological Innovation

Transforming open spaces into a true extension of wild and untouched nature. With this objective, KAILANI is born—the new outdoor textile collection signed by Rino Mastrotto, conceived to celebrate a profound harmony with the elements of earth and sea.

The name itself, derived from the Hawaiian words Kai (sea) and Lani (sky), evokes infinite horizons, light, and visual well-being for the refined furnishing of gardens, terraces, and pool areas.

The Perfect Balance Between Natural Fiber and High Technical Performance

The collection comprises 22 articles and develops around a fascinating material dualism that expertly unites artisanal tradition and cutting-edge technology:

  • Hemp (6 articles – 32 variants): A symbol of the earth and roots. A natural, eco-sustainable, and deeply tactile fiber that engages in an organic dialogue with the external environment.

  • Acrylic (13 articles – 71 variants): An expression of water and wind. A technological, fluid, and ultra-resistant yarn against sunlight, weathering, and salt, engineered to ensure flawless outdoor performance over time.

Polynesian Inspiration: The Contrast Between Geometry and Nature

The fil rouge of KAILANI is the harmonious contrast between the wild strength of tropical flora and the rigor of geometric patterns, inspired by the ancient Polynesian art of mat weaving.

The collection is divided into four thematic families:

  1. The Hemp Textures (The Strength of the Earth): 6 articles featuring neutral tones and rustic structures, herringbone, or micro-textures. From beige and rope shades, which celebrate volcanic stones and coral beaches, to motifs recalling natural weaving.

  2. Fil Coupé: High-end Jacquard workmanship on an acrylic base that creates fringes and three-dimensional reliefs capable of moving with the breeze. Standing out is Article OD LIKO (“bud”), where the foliage design reproduces the extraordinary lightness of tropical frond veins.

  3. Outdoor Prints: Vivid colors and maximum performance. The absolute protagonist is Article ST ALOHA, an impactful design featuring large multicolored leaves that encapsulates all the biodiversity and welcoming spirit of the island.

  4. Acrylic Geometrics and Stripes: Yarn-dyed fabrics that play with the rhythm and cadence of lines, reinterpreting local artisanal graphics in a contemporary key.

The Contract Capsule in Flame-Retardant Polyester

To complete the proposal, Rino Mastrotto presents an exclusive capsule of 3 cutting-edge technical articles (15 variants) crafted entirely from flame-retardant polyester.

These fabrics combine the rigorous safety standards required by the contract sector with the high performance of durability and stability against atmospheric agents typical of the outdoor world. From an aesthetic standpoint, the capsule graphically echoes the traditional weaving of Polynesian artisanal mats.

With KAILANI, outdoor living transcends the definition of a simple exterior space to become a true ecosystem of comfort, design, and respect for nature.
